The Ruins Of Pripyat, Chernobyl

The Ruins Of Pripyat, Chernobyl. Pripyat is a Ukrainian city that was home to the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. After the nuclear disaster in 1986, the city was abandoned.

Few people have returned to the area other than a brave few who couldn’t live the inner city life and perhaps didnt understand the dangers of the unseen killer and a few brave film crews and scientists to explore what has been left behind.

Filmmaker Danny Cook captured this new footage of the city of pripyat 28 years after the catastrophe.

This is perhaps what the world would look like should we as humans die out…

RIP Lynda Bellingham

RIP Lynda Bellingham

One of Lynda Bellingham’s last interviews before her sad death from terminal bowel cancer earlier this week.

Lynda speaks wise words in her interview and tells us about her new book.

Lynda decided in August not to carry on with treatment for her cancer, she did it for herself and her family as she didn’t want them to suffer through her treatment.

Unfortunately Lynda didn’t get the chance to enjoy her last Christmas as she hoped to. Our thoughts are with her family at this incredibly tough time.

RIP Lynda, you will be missed

Mike Read withdraws UKIP Calypso song

Mike Read a former BBC Radio 1 DJ has requested a song he wrote in support of the political party UKIP be withdrawn from sale following complaints from the public that it was racist.

UKIP Calypso song was performed with a mock Caribbean accent and sings the praises of party leader Nigel Farage.

Read’s Comments on the song:
“I am so sorry that the song unintentionally caused offence. It was never meant to, and I apologise unreservedly,”

“I have told the record company to withdraw the single immediately.”

The song sings the praises of Nigel Farage whilst making digs at Prime Minister David Cameron, Chancellor George Osborne and European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker.

The song also features the controversial lines: “The leaders committed a cardinal sin/Open the borders let them all come in/Illegal immigrants in every town/Stand up and be counted Blair and Brown.”

The irony is clear as some say such a car is an extension of a blokes manhood

The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport is the world’s most expensive production car, and does 0 to 60 in only 2.6 seconds.

The Veyron boasts 1200hp, more than many dedicated racing cars, but is in fact legal on the road.
